There are two options after a setback. Focus on the negatives or use it as an opportunity to come back even stronger. It is never a good time to get injured. But this was different. It was Game 6 of the NBA Finals with a three-peat on the line. That’s when Klay Thompson torn his ACL. The injury rippled out, the Warrior’s season ended that night, and Klay’s next season was effectively done. We joined Klay for his winding journey to recovery. One that comes in waves, full of countless mental and physical challenges.
ABOVE THE WAVES SHORT DOC
PUTTING THE LEAGUE ON NOTICE
Before the launch of the documentary, we disrupted the middle of a Lakers vs Golden State game with a :30 that teased our short film and let the NBA know that Klay was destined to be back.
While Klay's journey is personal it isn't unique. We can all learn something from the lows Klay faces and be inspired by his grit and determination. We created a series HEALTH TIPS to bring persepective to everyone’s journey.
